What is CAT 6A Ethernet Cable?

CAT 6A Ethernet Cable is the type of network copper cable standard released by IEEE in 2009. It has a maximum speed of 10Gbps and supports a maximum frequency of 500 MHz. It is divided into CAT 6 version and CAT 6A version, both supports RJ-45 jacks.

Compared to a CAT5 Ethernet cable, a CAT6A Ethernet cable increases the maximum speed from 1Gbps (100 meters) to 10 Gbps (100 meters) and the maximum frequency from 100 MHz to 500 MHz, while supporting both 10GBase-T networks. Upgrading from earlier network versions requires only replacing the switch or router, eliminating the need for large-scale equipment replacement and saving costs.

CAT6A cable employs a multi-layer shielding solution to reduce near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and EMI/RFI line noise, improving data transmission stability in data centers and large-scale deployments.
